Cardamom is one of those spices you would probably never guess could be soooo useful! This is probably one of my favorite essential oils to put a few drops in a relaxing evening bath. It has a soapy aroma with hints of spice. It helps clear your head whether you’re dealing with congestion or a nasty head ache. Plus it will help sooth your muscle aches and pains after a long day.
Historically, Cardamom has been used for epilepsy, spasms, paralysis, rheumatism, cardiac disorders, all intestinal illnesses, pulmonary disease, fever, and digestive and urinary complaints.
Of course, I am NOT your doctor, so continue taking whatever prescription they have recommended for you for any of these issues!!!! doTerra’s Cardamom essential oil is distilled from the seeds.
Did you know that Cardamom is said to be able to get rid of the lingering aroma of garlic?
You can also use Cardamom essential oil in any of your recipes that call for the spice. Just remember to use sparingly!!!! Essential oils are powerful and can easily overwhelm all other flavors in a dish if overused.
Which oils would you like to learn more about? Do you have a favorite fall blend? What is your favorite use for Cardamom?
